Compute is expensive. Public compute is free, if you know how to get it.

Through the European AI Factories (EuroHPC), Europe gives free compute to AI startups and SMEs. You still need to know which programme to apply to, how to write the application and how to run your code once access is granted.

Three programmes, depending on where you are.

  • Playground

    To test

A first allocation to try your code on the supercomputer and size what you really need.

  • Fast Lane

    Up to 50,000 GPU hours

For a training or fine-tuning project that is ready to run.

  • Large Scale

    Beyond

For larger training runs, through a more detailed application.

What we do

The application

We check your eligibility, choose the right programme and write the application with you. You submit it in your company's name.

The work

Once access is granted: we set up the environment, run the training and hand you a report on what was done and the results.

  1. Setup
  2. Training
  3. Report

We did it for ourselves.

Propul AI runs its own R&D project on a European supercomputer. We know the application, the queues and the environment from the inside.

Who it is for

  • AI startups

You train or fine-tune models and compute is your biggest bill.

  • Software publishers

You want to add a model of your own to your product without renting a fleet of GPUs.

  • Agencies

You build AI for your clients and need compute for a specific project.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

The compute hours are: they are public resources, allocated free of charge by the European AI Factories to selected projects. Our support (application, setup, training, report) is a separate service, which we quote after the first call.

Who keeps the rights to the model?

You do. The model trained on your data belongs to your company. Programmes may ask for an activity report on how the hours were used; we tell you exactly what before you apply.

How long does it take?

It depends on the programme and on the call schedule. Playground is the quickest way in; Fast Lane and Large Scale take longer to review. We give you a realistic schedule after the first call.

What if the application is turned down?

It can happen: access is never guaranteed. We tell you why, we improve the application and, if it makes sense, we resubmit it at the next opportunity.

Is your project eligible?

In 30 minutes, we look at your project, the programme that fits and what the application will need.
